* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Wisconsin, including the following counties, in south central Wisconsin, Columbia, Dane, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Rock and Sauk. In southeast Wisconsin, Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. At 1117 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Mazomanie, or 7 miles southwest of Sauk City, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Sauk City, Mazomanie, Arena, and Marxville. Information: If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. |
