Sacrifice…

Where would this country – or for that matter, the world – be without the dedication and services of those young men and women we call American veterans? Throughout history, our nation has turned to our military to protect the freedoms that we cherish today. We owe so much to these veterans whose sacrifices cannot be captured in a few words, who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country, who carry scars that remain for the rest of their lives.

Badger Honor Flight is a hub of the national Honor Flight Network, a volunteer organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to give them the opportunity to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the most senior veterans – World War II survivors – along with any terminally ill veteran. Veterans from other conflicts, such as the Korean and Vietnam Wars, are included in our program and will be given priority in the near future.

The Time to Act is NOW…

The youngest WWII vets are now in their 80s. Between 900-1200 WWII vets die each day, and on many honor flights one or two seats sit empty because a veteran has passed away just days before the flight. Time is of the essence to make sure that WWII vets and other terminally ill vets get to see the memorials erected in their honor.
